Biography
Dr. Bernhard Stoevesandt has been working in the field of wind energy research for almost 16 years. Currently he is heading the department of aerodynamics , CFD and stochastic dynamics at the Fraunhofer IWES. He did his PhD on turbulence and aerodynamics at the University of Oldenburg and afterwards has joined Fraunhofer, to build up a department with the aim to improve CFD methods for the use of the wind energy industry. His main focus is on the physics of wind and its effect on wind turbines. As a member of Fraunhofer, although he come from the field of research he works closely with the industry, trying to adapt today's research to industrial needs.Presenter
