Biography
Professor Feargal Brennan is professor of Offshore Engineering at the University of Strathclyde and Director of its Offshore Engineering Institute. He expertise is in structural integrity and its application to ships, offshore renewables and the Oil & Gas sector. Professor Brennan leads the UK delegation to the ISSC (International Ship and Offshore Structures Congress), he has published over one hundred and fifty papers in peer reviewed technical journals and conferences and sit on numerous national and international committees concerning structural integrity and offshore renewable energy. He is also director of the Cranfield - Oxford - Strathclyde Renewable Energy Marine Structures (REMS) Centre for Doctoral Training and in addition to leading a number of large industry research programmes, he is investigator of both Supergen Wind and Supergen Marine (UKCMER) EPSRC initiatives and its new Supergen Offshore Renewable Energy.Presenter
