Biography
Dr Georgy Ermolenko is currently Head of the Centre for Development of Renewable Energy at the Energy Institute of the Higher School of Economics. He is also the CEO of LLC Wind Energy Systems, a project developer of wind farms. His experience includes the development of wind farm projects in the Krasnodar region, Arkhangelsk region, and the Republic of Karelia with a total installed capacity of 1 GW. Georgy has worked on resource assessment of RES, analysis of RES generation technologies, and the analysis and improvement of the regulatory framework of RE development in Russia. He also has expertise in selecting optimal investment solutions for RES based centralized and distributed energy. Georgy is a Member of the Expert Council of the Committee on Energy of the State Duma of Russia, as well as Deputy Chairman of the Expert Group on Renewable Energy UNECE. Dr Ermolenko is regional author of REN 21, has published three books, 40 articles and has made numerous presentations at international and national conferences.Presenter
