Biography

Philipp Schmid followed business studies focusing on marketing and industrial management and researched on strategic marketing in China during his PhD studies. He also holds a Bachelor in Engineering. He worked as Client Service Executive and Junior Research Consultant for a major market research company in China and Germany. As from 2008 he joined a leading supplier for the wind industry as project manager, market analyst and marketing manager in the Renewable and Energy industries. Philipp Schmid has been following the blockchain industry for a while and made some investments in Bitcoin as well as mining hardware in Iceland. With colleagues from the industry he is taking part in the Swiss Innovation challenge with the idea to use surplus renewable energy to mine crypto currencies and create a renewable energy currency.
