Biography

Martin van Leeuwen is an experienced metal professional with 20 years of experience in zinc, aluminum and steel. After he got his master in Chemical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology in 1997, he has been working in various roles in R&D, engineering & contracting, operations and sales & marketing. He worked for several mining & metal companies such as TataSteel Europe, Nyrstar and Alcoa. In 2017 he started with the International Zinc Association (IZA) in Brussels. He works on market development of zinc applications in renewable energies and thermal spraying for corrosion protection, and is involved in the regional IZA programs in China, India, Africa and Latin America.
