Biography
Elena González is a currently a Diagnosis Engineer at ADWEN Offshore (SGRE), fully dedicated to the ROMEO project (https://www.romeoproject.eu/), aiming at reducing the cost of Offshore Wind. She was previously pursuing her doctoral studies at the Research Centre for Energy Resources and Consumption (CIRCE), participating in the EU funded AWESOME project (http://awesome-h2020.eu/), aiming at optimising wind farm O&M. She studied mechanical and energy engineering at the University of Valladolid, in Spain, and completed a Master’s Thesis in wind energy at Arts et Métiers ParisTech, in France. She spent almost 2 years at Natural Power working as a CFD and wind engineer. Her areas of research are operation and maintenance, asset management, data analytics for predictive maintenance and end-of-life issues. With over 6 years of experience in the industry and academia, she enjoys discovering how academics can help the wind industry in going forward. She currently combines her work with researching and providing training and expert advice on wind O&M as a freelance through her start-up ORSEIDE (http://www.orseide.com/).Presenter
