Biography

Mr. Dirk Briese holds a masters degree in Business Administration and a bachelor in Political Science and English from the University of Tübingen. He is the managing director of trend:research since 2001. Previously, he conducted market research, consulting and M&A projects as the Head of Department for Acquisitions and Development at the major utility swb AG Bremen. Prior he worked in a market research and consulting company in the energy and environmental technology industry. In all these activities Mr. Briese directed several, particularly strategic projects. At wind:research he is responsible for the corporate development and the compilation and realisation of exclusive studies and selected surveys, e.g. in the field of on- and offshore wind energy. Mr. Briese is an author of numerous publications in the energy industry and is invited as a speaker to (inter)national conferences in the field of energy production and generation.
