Biography

Aidan Cronin is the Chair of the ETIPWind Steering Committee. Since 2009 he has been Advisory Specialist to the CTO at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy A/S (formerly at Siemens Wind Power A/S). From 2007 to 2009 he performed technical analysis for a number of clients including Statkraft. From 2000 to 2007 he worked at Vestas Wind Systems A/S in various functions including business development, CRM, technical training, analysis and lobbying. His previous energy experience includes Research Manager for Data Research Africa, South Africa, where he conducted energy studies for the national utility, Eskom, and the South African Government. While in South Africa he was CEO of Tekwini Tronics Durban, designing and installing domestic township electrical systems.
