Biography

As Head of Corporate & Structured Finance of DBJ Europe Limited, European arm of Development Bank of Japan Inc (DBJ), Takeo Kitamura leads DBJ’s renewable transactions in the European Market including its recent involvement in the Triton Knoll project. Also, he was formerly responsible for Japanese power & utility industry during the period of its structural transition after the Fukushima nuclear accident. Throughout his career since joining DBJ in 1999, he has been engaged in such areas as project finance transactions in infrastructure, corporate turnaround deals, and leveraged buyout financing. Prior to his current assignment, he was involved in outlining DBJ’s medium-term management plan. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Hitotsubashi University.
