Biography

Robert Hasselaar is an experienced researcher, project engineer and manager with a 7 year history of working in the offshore wind industry. He obtained his Master of Science (MSc) in Hydraulic Engineering from the Technical University of Delft and the National University of Singapore. After starting as researcher and advisor in consultancy projects regarding hydrodynamics, waves and morphology using numerical modelling techniques at Deltares, he currently works on developing various innovations at the start-up DOT Power BV. He was and is responsible for the installation and (de)commissioning of DOT’s onshore test setup at the Maasvlakte II in Rotterdam and the current offshore test setup in the Dutch North Sea; paving the way towards a full scale developed DOT hydraulic drive train system.
