Biography

Lasse Svenningsen has worked in the wind industry for more than 10 years and holds a PhD in Geophysics from the University of Aarhus, Denmark. In his current position Lasse is R&D manager at EMD International A/S and has previously worked in the wind & site competence center of a wind turbine manufacturer. Lasse mainly works with R&D projects to develop new features for EMD’s software products, primarily windPRO. The key research areas are improving integration of linear and non-linear flow models in wind farm development, in particular mesoscale modelling and downscaling as well wind turbine site suitability focusing on the interface between wind climate and load simulations.
