Biography

Mr. Trujillo is project engineer at UL. He is a mechanical engineer with an specialisation in renewable energies with focus in wind energy. In the last 15 years he has been involved in experimental research in the area of wind farm flow. In 2017, he has finalised his PhD studies at ForWind - University of Oldenburg. During his scientific work he has developed new measurement techniques, using lidar, to characterise the turbulent characteristics of wind turbine wakes. In this context, he participated, among others, in the development of long-range multi-lidar systems for wind farm flow measurement. Through several German and European research projects and commercial projects he had first-hand involvement in lidar measurement campaigns at 5+ offshore wind farms, e.g. alpha ventus, Riffgat and NordseeOst. There, he gathered broad experience in data management and analysis in very complex measurement setups. In the last two years he managed the meteorological measurements at the FINO1 platform and worked in the implementation of new lidar measurements at the platform.
