Biography

Dr. Javier Sanz Rodrigo works as Senior Researcher at CENER with specialization in wind resource assessment. He is known for being the Coordinator of the WAUDIT Marie Curie network on wind resource assessment and, more recently, leading the model-chain effort at the New European Wind Atlas (NEWA). He is also Operating Agent of IEA-Wind Task 31 Wakebench towards the development of an international framework for wind farm flow modeling and evaluation. Before working with CENER he worked as Research Engineer at the von Karman Institute in Brussels for four years and as Wind Analyst at the international division of Gamesa Energía for three years.
