Biography

Gunnar Groebler is Senior Vice-President, Business Area Wind at Vattenfall, and was elected Chairman of WindEurope in March 2019. He started his career within Vattenfall in 1999 joining corporate development. After various positions within strategy/corporate development, he became Head of Corporate Development/M&A for the Region Central Europe in 2009. From 2011 onwards he was responsible for the German Hydro portfolio. In 2014 Gunnar Groebler started to run the Business Unit Renewables within Vattenfall for the Continental/UK. Since April 2015 he is a member of Vattenfall Executive Group Management responsible for the entire wind business.
