Biography

Frank Lemmer has been working for the University of Stuttgart since 2012 on floating offshore wind energy (European projects LIFES50+, INNWIND.EU, KIC-AFOSP, FLOATGEN.EU). He holds a Diplomingenieur's degree from the University of Stuttgart, Germany with a study abroad at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA funded by a scholarship of the German-American Fulbright Commission. He received his PhD from the University of Stuttgart on a work on low-order modeling, control and optimization of floating wind turbine systems. He is a co-founder of sowento.com, the University of Stuttgart spin-off providing advanced LiDAR controls and FOWT coupled simulation and controller design services.
