Biography

Vincent Schellings is the Engineering & Product Development General Manager for GE Renewable Energy’s Offshore wind business. In this role Vincent is responsible for the development of the Offshore wind product portfolio such as the Haliade-X 12-MW offshore wind turbine. His track record in the Renewables space makes him a natural fit for this position with 10 years’ experience in Engineering roles designing wind turbines and 10 years in product management positions. Vincent joined GE in 2002 as part of the Enron Wind acquisition and shortly thereafter was appointed Engineering leader for the development of the 2.5MW wind turbine platform. Upon completion of the design Vincent moved to product management where he successfully commercialized the 2.5MW product line in both Europe and the USA. In 2010 and 2011 he was active as Product Management leader for GE’s offshore wind product line after which he moved back to onshore wind to lead the 3MW series wind turbine. Before joining GE Renewable Energy in March 2017, Vincent served as the General Manager Product Management for Power Electronics in GE Power Conversion. Vincent graduated with a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Twente, the Netherlands.
