Head of Department Field Measurements, Fraunhofer IWES
Ms. Nora Denecke has a track record of more than five years industry experience working for an offshore wind turbine manufacturer in the field of R&D. Her main focus was on field measurements on turbine prototypes for certification and application-oriented research. She holds a master degree of Physics of ETH Zurich. Today she is working for the Fraunhofer Society as head of the department field measurements and manages several research projects that involve a number of field tests on wind turbines. She also is laboratory head according to ISO 17025 for Power Performance (IEC 61400-12-1) and Loads (IEC 61400-13) Measurements on Wind Turbines. Current priorities of her work include amongst others the development of advanced instrumentation and methods for wind turbines and the optimization of standard measurements.
