Overview
WindEurope took part in the European Commission’s public consultation on the upcoming Digital Omnibus, providing feedback on how to simplify EU rules on data, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. Our main asks focused on: resolving conflicts between the Data Act and contractual obligations, simplifying consent requirements, protecting trade secrets and critical infrastructure, ensuring harmonized and proportionate implementation across Member States, and aligning digital legislation including the Data Act, AI Act, and cybersecurity rules.
