Session description
This session brings together wind energy producers and offtakers, investors, and EU and national institutions to explore how upcoming EU instruments — notably the Industrial Decarbonisation Bank, the Innovation Fund’s industrial process heat auction, and updated State aid frameworks — can effectively de-risk electrification investments. Speakers will discuss how these tools can reduce CAPEX and OPEX risks, provide long-term certainty for industrial users and power producers, and accelerate the electrification of low- and medium-temperature heat in sectors where solutions are already mature. The discussion will also examine how EU-level instruments can complement national schemes and create investable, scalable project pipelines that strengthen Europe’s industrial competitiveness.
