European energy technologies, together with secure supply chains in partner countries, prevent our energy supply from relying on exclusively non-European technologies from a few concentrated production locations. Such a loss of sovereignty must be avoided, otherwise there may be direct consequences for progress in other areas – energy supply, industrial production, the use of heat pumps, e-mobility, or the production of green hydrogen. With that in mind, we need to build a European framework to deliver a resilient energy system and to scale future production – for manufacturers and suppliers alike. But how can we achieve this? What requirements and political levers are there in light of global geopolitical shifts and Europe’s industrial policy? We’ll be discussing these questions at the Resilience Club with representatives from the wind industry, associations and policymakers.
Speakers include:
- Giles Dickson, WindEurope
- Jan Hylleberg, Danish Wind Industry Association
- Dominika Taranko, Wind Industry Hub, Poland
- James Filder, Department of Energy Security and Net Zero, UK
- Dr. Martin Knops, ZF Wind Power, Belgium
