Session description
As the wind energy and grid management landscape rapidly evolves, the integration of advanced digital technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), is not just an option but a necessity.
This session will start with an update on how the regulatory framework is evolving in Europe before delving into how generative AI and digitalisation are revolutionising the way wind energy is harnessed, analysed, and integrated into power grids. With AI’s ability to process vast amounts of data, predict maintenance needs, optimize energy production, and manage grid distribution, it is a game-changer in increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing the reliability of renewable energy sources.
Panellists will explore cutting-edge examples where AI technologies have been successfully implemented in wind farms and grid systems, demonstrating tangible benefits. The session will also address the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
