We would like to invite you to come and see the posters at our upcoming conference. The posters will showcase a diverse range of research topics, and will give delegates an opportunity to engage with the authors and learn more about their work. Whether you are a seasoned researcher or simply curious about the latest developments in your field, we believe that the posters will offer something of interest to everyone. So please join us at the conference and take advantage of this opportunity to learn and engage with your peers in the academic community. We look forward to seeing you there!
PO185: How to use dual scanning lidars for site condition assessment in Japan
Atsushi Yoshimura, Manager, Green Power Investment
Abstract
In this study, the results of several verifications of the accuracy and performance of DSL measurements, which are increasingly used for offshore wind observation, were studied. In validation campaigns of DSL at 3 sites in Japan, it is confirmed that DSL has suitable accuracy for site condition assessment under NEDO guidebook(New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), a national research and development agency, published an Offshore Wind Measurement Guidebook). And we confirmed that the data coverage is reasonable when 3VMMs are set at over 5km from units at three sites. It becomes clear that DSL is a great measurement approach which can be used to measure site condition far from the coastline, even over 5-10km in Japan.
