Come meet the poster presenters to ask them questions and discuss their work

We would like to invite you to come and see the posters at our upcoming conference. The posters will showcase a diverse range of research topics, and will give delegates an opportunity to engage with the authors and learn more about their work. Whether you are a seasoned researcher or simply curious about the latest developments in your field, we believe that the posters will offer something of interest to everyone. So please join us at the conference and take advantage of this opportunity to learn and engage with your peers in the academic community. We look forward to seeing you there!

PO063: The Rich North Sea Toolbox

Eline van Onselen, Marine Ecologist, North Sea Foundation/De Rijke Noordzee

Offshore wind farms (OWFs) are promising locations for nature enhancement. They offer hard substrate surfaces as well as less or no bottom disturbance. The Rich North Sea program aims to enhance nature in OWFs by creating reefs and increasing biodiversity and wants nature development in OWFs to be well implemented in policy. The Rich North Sea runs projects in offshore locations and is involved in scientific projects with different partners. The program is in its last phase and the focus is now shifting to the long term: how to keep implementing nature enhancement options and nature inclusive designs into an even busier North Sea? How can we balance the benefits of offshore wind with the opportunities (and risks) to the natural environment? Part of the program is to create an online platform for knowledge sharing: the Toolbox. The Toolbox will be a "living" modular open access online platform that we can adjust and grow in the future together with our stakeholders. It would be great to be able to present the Toolbox to both share our knowledge as well as bring input from a range of different stakeholders into our program.
