Biography

Prof. Julio García Espinosa currently holds a position as full professor of shipbuilding technology at the Technical University of Madrid. His research mainly focuses on the development and application of computational models in naval and ocean engineering. He has published 34 papers in international journals and has presented more than 50 communications to conferences. He has been involved in dozens of R&D projects of national and international scope, in different fields of the naval and offshore engineering. He is a co-founder of Compass IS, a company specialized in engineering analysis software, and co-promoter of Scipedia, specialized in software for data management and analysis. He has received awards such as the Duran Farell Technological Research Award and the Best Professional Career award for young engineers.
