Biography
Matt Collins is the Assistant Secretary in the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, leading the energy function with responsibility for Renewable Electricity, Infrastructure, and Hydrogen. The function includes policies and programmes to support the development of onshore wind, solar and offshore wind generation of electricity, the development of the electricity transmission and distribution systems, grid system services, energy storage, and electricity interconnectors to support a high-renewable electricity system, and the development of hydrogen from renewable electricity sources.
