Biography

Martin Volker Gerhardt is Head of Offshore Wind Product & Portfolio Management at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Managing Director at Siemens Gamesa in Germany. Martin has over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, including 12 years in the wind power industry. Siemens Gamesa is the market leader in offshore wind and since 2017 has continuously expanded its portfolio from 7MW to 15MW to bring more powerful turbines to the market. As a father of three children, he sees the climate crisis as the biggest global threat and wind power as the most important pillar of the energy transition and a decarbonized future.
