Biography
Enrique is part of Google's infrastructure Team responsible for data center deployment and energy strategy across EMEA. Enrique structures energy supply, infrastructure and long term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), with a focus in the BENELUX region.
Google has matched 100 percent of its global annual electricity consumption with purchases of renewable energy since 2017 and is aiming to operate on 24/7 Carbon Free Energy by 2030- procuring clean energy to meet its electricity needs, every hour of every day, within every grid. Google recently announced more than 700 megawatts of new PPA's in Europe, including its largest offshore wind projects to date in The Netherlands.
Prior to Google, Enrique has held energy roles in engineering, procurement and program management, most recently at Amazon. Enrique earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and master's degree in energy systems from Northeastern University in Boston (MA), USA.
