Biography
Hanif Mashal is the chief executive officer (CEO) of LM Wind Power, a world leading designer and manufacturer of rotor blades for wind turbines, offering blade development, testing, manufacturing, services, and logistics.
Hanif joined LM Wind Power in 2018 as vice president of engineering and technology, where he led end-to-end design, production development and services engineering supporting collaborative customer growth. Hanif assumed his role as CEO in 2024, where he is focused on driving strategies and outcomes that reaffirm LM Wind Power’s pivotal role as an agile, reliable, and profitable partner to the wind industry.
Prior to joining LM Wind Power, Hanif served as chief engineer of offshore wind turbine at Siemens Gamesa Renewables from 2012 to 2017. From 2006 to 2012, Hanif served as head of next generation electrical power train and controls at Pratt & Whitney Power Systems, Clipper Windpower.
Hanif advises on policies for investment in research and development in renewable energy and the wind sector. He is active in thought leadership forums, advocating for greater cooperation to support sustainability and ESG initiatives across value chain.
Hanif holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Aalborg University, Denmark.
