Biography

As director venture governance, Pieter is responsible for the venture management of the Gasunie (co-)owned terminal, storage and interconnector assets. Prior to taking up this role he was company secretary and responsible for the public affairs and corporate regulatory affairs departments. In addition to his role at Gasunie, he is member of the board of GIE, the association of gas infrastructure operators in Europe. Currently he is leading the establishment of ENNOH, the organisation for (future) hydrogen transmission system operators, required by EU legislation. Previously he has worked as policy advisor on energy and climate in the European Parliament.
