Siting Solutions Engineer, Vestas

Biography

Asier has been linked to the wind industry for the last 3 years. He is currently a Siting Solutions Engineer for the North & West region within North and Central Europe at Vestas. He holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering with specialization in Hydraulic Engineering, as well as a second Master's degree in Renewable Energy in the Marine Environment from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Besides his studies, he completed several internships, the recent one in 2020-2021 with Siemens Gamesa in Bilbao, before joining Vestas in 2023 as a Student Worker supporting the offshore Siting Solutions Engineers team. Furthermore, he has published journal articles and has worked on research projects relevant to offshore wind turbine siting.
