Biography

Saloni Palkar works as a Senior Structural Engineer at Van Oord in the Netherlands. At Van Oord, she is responsible for the designing and installation of the offshore wind foundations. In 2013, she graduated as an Offshore Structural Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology. She has 10+ years of professional working experience ranging from detailed engineering for offshore structures at Aker Solutions and Larsen & Toubro to research in fatigue & fracture of steel at TU Delft. Since 2022, she has also been involved with development of Slip Joint technology at Van Oord.
