Biography

Dipl.-Ing. Ina-Marie Orawiec, architect and urbanist, founded OX2architekten in 1996, less than a year after graduating from RWTH Aachen University, together with Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Marcin Orawiec, focusing on the three interrelated fields of architecture, urban planning and corporate design. Since 2008 she has been the sole shareholder and managing director of OX2architekten GmbH. Her projects and designs provide research impulses for the transformation of urban spaces towards an economically sustainable, socially just form of living together within ecological limits. Her artistic work has resulted in projects such as the award-winning designs for the multimodal mobility centers in Munich or Emsdetten or the helipad at the University Hospital in Aachen, which are characterized by novel use of materials, innovative constructions and imaginative design.
