Biography
Mrs. Alonso has recently achieved her PhD, which is primarily centered around the initial stage of design of Floating Offshore Wind Turbine (FOWT) platforms. Her academic journey began with a bachelor's and master's degree in mechanical engineering. During her master's program, she delved into the realm of solar renewables through her thesis work. In the autumn of 2019, she embarked on her PhD journey, dedicating her research efforts to the intricate domains of designing, modeling, and analyzing floating substructures for offshore wind energy systems. Her particular focus lies in the hydrodynamic analysis of these platforms. Notably, in 2021, Mrs. Alonso seized the opportunity for an international academic exchange at DTU, where she collaborated closely with the Wind Energy Department on her research endeavors.Presentations
