Biography

Mr Norris is an industrially sponsored PhD student at the University of Sheffield's Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre. His PhD is centred on developing dynamic scheduling applications for an offshore wind turbine blade factory digital twin. His undergraduate degree was in mechanical engineering at the University of Leeds. Mr Norris is also associated with the AURA centre for offshore wind energy and the environment at the University of Hull and the Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures. His research aims are focused on managing uncertainty within digital twins to allow for accurate portrayals of highly manual processes.
