Biography

Mr. Becker has studied mechatronics with a focus on systems and control at the TU Darmstadt and graduated with a master's degree in 2021. Since then, he is pursuing a PhD in wind farm flow control at the Delft University of Technology. His main work concerns the conceptualization, design, implementation and testing of a closed-loop wind farm flow control strategy. To this end he utilizes low-computational cost engineering models that can take wake dynamics and flow field changes into account. Other topics are the coupling of said model to sensor data and the derivation of optimal turbine control set-points. Besides his research Mr. Becker is also involved in teaching at the university, for which he has received an award.
