Marie Cathelain
Offshore Wind Expert (PhD), CLS
Biography
Mrs. Cathelain has been working in offshore wind R&D for 10 years. She is currently an offshore wind expert at CLS. She studied ocean engineering and holds a PhD on wind-wave interactions. She worked as a research engineer on numerical modelling of wind farms and wakes, developing and calibrating engineering wake models. She then led a collaborative research project on wind-wave-ocean coupling in the Mediterranean Sea to improve wind resource assessment. Her research is now focused on the use of satellite observations for wind applications.Posters
