Biography

Abid is a Senior Asset Integrity Manager with 30+ years' experience in Conventional and Renewables Energy, Offshore O&M strategy definition and deployment of associated best practice. Delivering technological solutions and management systems focusing on Asset Integrity Health and Safety, Environmental and Legal framework. He has experience in Offshore Asset Integrity Strategy Management, Offshore Wind O&M, Computerised Maintenance Management Planning (SAP), Engineering Governance and RDS-PP Standards Working Group. Additionally, he has developed safe systems of work for offshore Operations and Maintenance, including O&M support systems, VisSim marine management system for planning and safely controlling vessel movement and personnel in the field, O&M Analysis using the ECN cost modelling tool and collaborated with Belden and Siemens to develop WiMAX/Wi-Fi infrastructure for offshore wind farms supporting the online information/reporting for all planned and un-planned work through SAP mobile.
