Biography

Simon Jacobsen is working within the offshore wind industry as a meteorologist for DHI, where he has been working since 2021. He has worked on many metocean projects for offshore wind farms, both fixed base and floating, where he has performed numerical modelling and extreme value analysis. Simon has a master's degree in geophysics and meteorology from the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen. His studies included researching mesoscale impacts of offshore wind farm clusters using the Weather Research & Forecasting Model (WRF). Currently, he is working within DHI Water Forecast as operational lead and project manager.
