Biography

Dr. Stephan Sehestedt is the lead software architect for Hitachi Energy's high voltage breaker monitoring solutions since 2017. In this role Stephan is responsible for the definition and implementation of software and system archi-tectures for remote monitoring systems. He joined the company as a researcher in the corporate research centre, Germany, in 2012 (then still known as ABB Corporate Research) to support the business units in modernizing soft-ware systems for various industries. Stephan received his PhD from the Centre for Autonomous Systems at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia, in 2011.
