Biography

Dolunay Güçlüer Küpeli studied Geomatics / Surveying Engineering at Istanbul Technical University and became an exchange student in Spain / Valencia for one year and graduated in 2007. She completed her master's degree in 2010 on Multicriteria Selection for Best Location for Concentrated Solar Power Plants in Konya City. She is still continuing her Ph.D. on Offshore Wind Power Plants in the Geomatics Department of ITU. She started her career with R&D / European Union projects at ITU for about 3 years, and then worked for Enermet Energy, a consultancy and project development company, for 5 years in 2009. Afterwards, she worked at Borusan EnBW Enerji in the wind and solar engineering department for 7 years. She has been involved in various projects as one of the experts of GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) since 2021. She worked as the Wind Team Leader in the last RE-You Project. She has been a Board Member of the Turkish Offshore Wind Energy Association since 2021. As of 2023, DURED became a partner for a Horizon Europe Project BLOW (Black sea fLoating Offshore Wind), she is working as an expert in the BLOW project about maritime spatial planning.
