Biography

Alexander Tsylin has MSc degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for national transmission system operator and major electrical design companies where he held various protection engineering positions for several years. He joined renewable energy industry in 2016 and now works in Ørsted where he currently holds the position of lead protection specialist which implies provision of technical leadership to a team of protection systems engineers and scope managers working on various large-scale offshore wind farms and power-to-x projects around the globe. He is involved in the activities of different international professional organizations such as IET, IEEE and CIGRE where he holds the position of WG B5.79 convenor. He is an author and co-author of a number of technical papers presented in international conferences.
