Biography

Expert in wind products and technologies, with 19 years in the wind industry. Responsible for leading the technical function in Bureau Veritas for global wind engineering, defining and ensuring wind service portfolio and related process, procedures, systems and tools, including Licenses to Operate and accreditations. Prior to Bureau Veritas, Ignacio worked for Siemens Gamesa Renewables Energy, including different roles like Chief Engineer, Product Development Director and Chief Technology Officer (interim period). Ignacio complements private sector with academia, as part-time engineering adjunct professor in University. Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering (Carlos III University, Spain), Master of Science (Yale University, USA) and Eng. Degree in Energy Technologies (Carlos III University).
