Skills of the future: Anticipating Trends and Addressing Skill Gaps
When: Thursday 21 March, 09:30–12:30
Where: Meeting Room 1B, Level 5
Open to: Invitation only
Sustaining the wind industry’s ongoing success hinges on being able to effectively equip its workforce for the challenges ahead. Building a robust and sustainable wind industry means future-proofing capabilities across the entire value chain, encompassing both offshore and onshore operations. In situations where the industry lacks essential expertise, a domino effect will ensue, leading to bottlenecks such as non-standardised training programmes, expensive on-the-job training, and ultimately, unfilled job positions. The absence of essential skills can impede projects, hampering the achievement of energy targets.
This workshop will provide a platform to projects and initiatives that have planned carefully for future skills and trends, with the goal of closing the skills gap and equipping the future workforce.
