Future Offshore Wind Turbine Concept: The XROTOR?
When: Wednesday 20 March, 11:30-12:30 & 13:30-17:00
Where: Meeting Room 1A, Level 5
Open to: All registered participants
This event will give an overview of the work completed in the EU H2020 project – XROTOR. The X-Rotor is a radical offshore wind turbine that has the potential to reduce the LCoE of offshore wind energy. The concept consists of a vertical axis primary rotor and horizontal axis secondary rotors.
In the morning session (11:00 – 12:30), we’ll provide a high-level overview of the concept and the work completed in the XROTOR EU project. In the afternoon session, researchers from the EU project will share more details on the finished work through oral and poster presentations.
