Collaborator Researcher in the Group of Control and Digitalization, , LORTEK Technological Centre
Biography
Pablo López de Uralde holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from University of the Basque Country. During his Final Project, he worked in applying Non-Finite Element analysis for the simulation of Non-Destructive Testing based in Thermography. After that, he worked for two years in Diagnostic Engineering Solutions (Bari, Italy) as responsible for the Non Destructive Testing laboratory, working on Active Thermography for the detection of defects in composite materials, mainly for aeronautical components. Nowadays, he works as Researcher in the technological centre LORTEK, in the Digitalization Technology Department, more concretely in the thermography group. As part of his work, he has led some regional projects, focused on the application of Active Thermography as an innovative solution to the detection of cracks in composite and metallic components. In Interreg Atlantic DURABLE, he is focused on developing an inspection system for both wind turbine blade components and solar panels.
