WindEurope Exhibition

Following our successful event in Copenhagen we will once again put in place a set of measures to deliver another secure and successful event. We acknowledge our common responsibility in maintaining a safe environment for all attendees.

We’ve worked on an end-to-end process covering all aspects of the event from the planning and design to the build-up, the event itself and the break-down period.

We’ve conducted a detailed event risk assessment and put together a set of measures and recommendations aimed at creating a successful business event while maintaining the highest levels of safety and comfort.

Travel to Spain

All participants arriving in Spain will need to complete a Health Control Form before their arrival. After submitting the form you will receive a QR code which you will need to enter the country.

For latest updates, make sure to consult the travel rules and regulations for Spain, as well as those in your country of origin.

For more information, please consult the Ministry of Health FAQs.

Arrival and Venue Access

As the COVID-19 situation has continued to improve, the COVID-19 certificate is no longer required in Spain. This applies not just to events but also for the hospitality sector in general.

As a result, event attendees are no longer required to carry a valid proof of COVID-19 status to access the event.

Registration

We require all attendees to register before the event in order to minimise the risk of overcrowding and manage the traffic flow efficiently. There will be no onsite registration.

Personal Protective Equipment

In accordance with the current measures in place in Spain, face masks are mandatory in all indoor spaces. Therefore, face masks will be required across the venue, including social events.

Traffic and social distancing

Distancing is not a requirement by law.

WindEurope will not impose social distancing rules for the event. However, WindEurope will ensure efficient traffic management to avoid overcrowding and will encourage everyone to keep a respectful distance from other event attendees.

The current event layout and aisle width in the exhibition allows for a two-way traffic system.

Venue

The ventilation system at the venue is set to 100% fresh air and falls under the highest air quality category (IDA 1) which applies to hospitals, medical centres and laboratories. All conference and meeting rooms are fully ventilated and air conditioned.

The Cleaning Protocol for the event is updated to fully respond to the COVID-19 risk assessment and to ensure the safety of all attendees. Special attention will be given to the high traffic areas at the event and high contact surfaces.

Hand sanitisers will be located permanently in all high-traffic areas, restrooms, at the entrance to the exhibition halls, conference rooms and the catering area.

Social events & Catering

Social events and stand receptions are permitted during the event. There are no capacity restrictions for the stand receptions.

Attendees are allowed to consume food and drink at the venue, there are no longer any restrictions concerning the format of receptions or catering service. Catering service is permitted to both standing and seated guests. Stand reception can take place in their usual format.

The consumption of alcohol is permitted and the official caterer from the venue will provide menu suggestions for receptions that minimise the potential risk of infection.

Lunch will be served in a buffet style. The lunch area will only be accessible to delegates who hold a valid lunch ticket. Traffic supervisors will manage queues in the catering area.

The use of hand sanitisers will be enforced by staff members at the access control points.
