Biography

Hired in early 2021, Imanol Arrizabalaga is a Sales and Business Development Director at Nel Hydrogen. He manages Southern Europe’s growing markets including Spain and Portugal, and other Mediterranean countries including Greece and Morocco in North Africa. With more than 25 years of technical and business development experience in the industry, Mr. Arrizabalaga has a comprehensive expertise in complex engineering base projects combined with commercial management, promotion, marketing, and sales skills across local and global markets for the Energy, Renewable, Environmental, Chemical, Oil and Gas, Pulp and Paper, Mining, and Metals industries. Before his current appointment at Nel Hydrogen, Imanol was Commercial Director at Veolia Water Technologies in Spain, where he was responsible for the sale of turnkey projects of industrial evaporation and crystallization process plants. Prior to that he held senior commercial positions at several global industrial companies such as Gamesa in the renewable sector (currently part of Siemens) and at Rolls Royce Group and Babcock Wilcox in Spain. Mr. Arrizabalaga holds a high Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master in Marketing from the University of Basque Country in Bilbao, Spain.
