Biography

She joined Green Giraffe in 2011 and heads the Madrid office. She coordinates Green Giraffe’s efforts in Iberia and has been involved in multiple transactions globally in PV, offshore and onshore wind, both on equity and debt side Previously, while based in the Paris office, her notable projects included the sale of minority stakes in a 120 MW portfolio of French solar and wind assets for La Compagnie du Vent, an Engie subsidiary; various debt transactions for French IPPs such as Neoen, with the financing of one of their first onshore project in Australia (Hornsdale, 300 MW) and for Velocita (120 MW, France & United Kingdom, onshore). She also supported Otary in their early development works on several offshore wind farms in Belgium, including financial modelling, contracting and bankability analyses Meriem was also based in London office for 4 years and during this time led financial restructuring processes for more than 700 MW of offshore wind projects in the United Kingdom and in Europe. She advised consortiums on tenders including the Danish nearshore wind tender (350 MW, 2016) and MASEN for Morocco’s first PV programme, Noor PV I in 2017. In Morocco, Meriem also led the Taza greenfield onshore wind project financing supporting EDFR and Mitsui with their first non-recourse financing in the country (87 MW, 2020) She holds an MSc in finance from Grenoble Graduate School of Business.
