Biography
Peter is the Head of Technology and Innovation within MAM Real Assets where he co-ordinates the work of MAM Real Assets’ asset management and origination teams in identifying and applying emerging technologies that may impact the operational and environmental performance of existing and future portfolio assets.
Prior to joining Macquarie in 2018, Peter spent over 18 years in infrastructure, oil and gas, renewable energy and transportation. He started his career at Shell where he worked across the downstream value chain including supply management, procurement, strategy, risk management and commodities trading. Peter then served as a consultant to a range of industrial, financial and governmental clients on renewables, transport electrification, and emissions trading policy. He then spent five years at Saudi Aramco’s renewable energy organisation where he led the Emerging Technologies and Market Intelligence division which supported the development and launch of Saudi Arabia’s renewable energy deployment through R&D, venture capital and project development.
Peter has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Oxford, a Master of Science in Finance and Financial Law from SOAS University of London, a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Kent, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Arizona State University.
