Biography

Dr. Lexuri Vázquez, holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from University of Navarra. During her PhD she worked in powder metallurgy and after her PhD studies, she broke through in Additive Manufacturing. Nowadays she develops her research activity in the technological centre LORTEK, in the Additive Manufacturing group mainly focused in arc-DED technology also known as Wire and Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM). As part of her work, she has led and participated as researcher in European and regional projects, some of them focused on basic research, transfer of technology of additive manufacturing, and research and innovation. She is nowadays implementing her research in the Interreg Atlantic DURABLE project focused in maintenance and repair in wind energy sector. She is also the author of several scientific publications, and has participated in numerous national and international conferences.
